MID has launched FloShield for 5mm laparoscopes. This version of FloShield utilizes MID's patent protected Generation II vortex tecnology that helps drive smoke away from the surgical site and keeps the lens clean.

In development is the FloShield PLUS laparoscopic washing system, a technology that significantly improves on previous historical efforts to flush away debris that does settle on the lens in-situ, without withdrawing the scope and interrupting surgery.
